The FBI's new cybersecurity head wants spying tools rather than back doors

On Tuesday August 14th, Amy Hess was appointed as the new head of the FBI's Criminal, Cyber, Response, and Services Branch.capabilities She previously Executive Assistant Director of Science and Technology. Prior to that she was Special Agent in Charge of the Louisville Office and the head of the FBI's “Citizens Academy” which teaches business leaders about the role of federal law enforcement in society.

When watching Brown versus Assange for the heavyweight championship of twitter know that the audience gets punched out

In my studies of military history and human conflict, which I consider vast but not yet comprehensive, I have come up with a single original saying that I consider to be an actual quotable profundity. “In all conflicts, regardless of power, technology or even sides, the battlefield is going to get it's ass kicked.” If you think about it you will instantly find it to be always true. A field full of cavemen with clubs and stones knives will get trampled and ruined. Europe was flattened by World War II.

A Special Election is a special opportunity to blame everyone but yourselves

I call it screaming to the right while punching to the left. It is the central concept of movement and firepower in Democrat martial arts. It is performed by deploying vague rhetorical acts and platitudes against Republicans and than attacking any and everyone inside and outside their own party who is not completely in line with their Center-Right soft billionaire policies when their elitist posteriors are not immediately seated in the desired chair.

Second Day of Fascist Marches on the West Coast: Berkeley Cops assist fascists, arrest and publicize names of opponents

I've lived in Berkeley. I know the complicated tapestry of policing in the North Oakland Berkeley area. I've seen them maliciously wound friends. I've buried a friend and roommate they killed. The racism runs deep and blue there. Context is needed to view the events of August 5th in Berkeley because no social space is neutral and nothing happens in a vacuum.

YSPD time sheets, training and a little handwriting analysis

This article is, in addition to an opinion editorial, an update on other articles.

Watching from the police department from Mills Lawn, the Meister affair feels like a drama playing out on a stage. However, the only actors are Chief Carlson and Sergeant Watson playing the roles of impartial law enforcers with Corporal Meister privy to the reality of the situation and the audience watching in horror.

David Hogg handshakes with fascists and exposes the racist nature of gun control

I saw a minor subject of one of my articles posing for a picture with a white supremacist who sued me and lost. That is never funny. David Hogg, a spokesperson for the Parkland survivors and therefore for gun control, was happy to be seen in a widely circulated twitter picture with Jason Lee Van Dyke, the embattled lawyer for the Proud Boys.

Cleveland Terrorism Arrest: National Security as performance art

The forces that run the country need a supply of non-white others to keep public fear at a high and justify their own power. Without Communism in the evil empire of Russia, Ronald Reagan would have been a stuttering moron not a role model for Bill Clinton. Demetrius N. Pitts, age 48, was arrested and charged with one count of attempting to provide material support to AL-Qaida two days ago on Sunday July 1st. The arrest was the result of an FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force “sting” operation that looks like bottom feeding right down to the catphishing.

An Open Letter to Patti Bates

Editors Note: The Mockingbird's ongoing investigation into the YSPD uncovered serious problems and possible theft of wages. This was detailed in a previous article. In addition to publishing the article, we sent copies to every member of council, the village manager and every member of the Justice System Task force seeking comment on the record. Only Judith Hempfling chose to respond with a statement about looking into the matter.

A Donald Trump tweet threatened protestors and media including this publication as a crackdown begins

Donald Trump's tweets are always a good source of entertainment over my morning covfefe. However when the tweets touch your actual life, you might spit the beverage on your keyboard. On the morning of June 28th, ICE deployed riot cops, along with local police, in full tactical gear with live ammo, to shut down two of the five ongoing occupations and blockades of ICE offices in Portland and Detroit. The Portland crackdown resulted in 9 arrests.

Police shootings of black people continue to increase while ethnic cleansing at the border ramps up

As the nation begins to build it's network of private camps, military detention camps, and non-profit child kidnapping facilities, the third week in June also brought three high-profile shootings of black men. Tony Green age 33 of Kingsland Georgia, Antwon Rose 17 of East Pittsburgh Pennsylvania and Thurman Blevins Jr age 31 of Minneapolis were all killed in the last week. Neither Green nor Rose are even alleged to have been armed. In more heavily populated Minneapolis and Pittsburgh, there have multiple days of street protests.
