Minerva Barker

Minerva Barker is an Antioch Alumn who came to Yellow Springs, Ohio in 1997. Minerva came to police accountability work through the John Crawford movement and continues to work on police accountability activism. A set of incidents regarding YSPD prompted Minerva to start writing as a citizen journalist. Minerva submits their work to multiple outlets, became a writer for PINAC before it shuttered and joined Mockingbird Press as a freelance journalist and researcher in 2018. They like to read books, but rarely do. Instead they collect them like dusty trophies they swear one day they'll have time to revisit.  They have a siamese rescue cat and a fluffy black cat that is jealous of the rescue. Its mayhem.
